You’d like to read my scribblings? How Nice!

You’d like to read my scribblings? That is so kind of you!

With the expert help of our industrious and ever helpful friend ‘Chris the Reading Ape’, I have managed to fight against my Luddite ways and set up a ‘search’ box on my blog.

So if you’d like to read my posts, rather than eat your way through the delicious cornucopia of re-blogs and conversations (are you mad? They are all excellent and illuminating Bloggers – with a capital B – and well worth a follow),  click into the ‘search’ box and type ‘Kate McClelland’ and it, through the force of ‘Blogmancy’ – my new name for internet magic – (there should be Darth Vader type dramatic music here) will pick out just my posts!

Isn’t technology fabulous? (well you haven’t read any of my stuff yet, so I’d reserve judgement)

I don’t think any of it is ‘War and Peace’, ‘Wuthering Heights’, ‘Animal Farm’ or  ‘Viking and the Courtesan’ (Shehanne Moore – no less!), but you may find something you like.

I would love to hear your comments, even if it’s just ‘Sup’! (if that’s still a ‘thing’)

Apologies to all in advance (maybe this should have been at the beginning (ahem)) Is it okay to use ‘double brackets’? – I tend to overuse ‘quotation marks’ and (brackets) and – yes, pause dashes – (or whatever they’re called)  and ‘oxford commas’ (I didn’t know they came from Oxford)- see done it again – Doh! Can’t help it, must, get, help……

(again with the brackets!! Have a great day banner courtesy of Colleen – thanks Colleen)

    1. Aww thanks so much Teagan. It’s amazing what an unexpected outcome a crappy day combined with a glass of Chardonnay will achieve (well a couple of glasses if I’m being honest :0)) Thanks so much and have a great weekend xxx

  1. Hahahaha Thanks Teagan. I so pinched the idea for the word ‘Blogmancy’ from your fabulous ‘Guitar Mancer’ series. I love this story. the combination of people, music, old magic, animals, fighting against dark forces with determination, cat kibbles and humour is hard to beat :0)

  2. Blogmancy – lol! I also noticed that the search is now at the top of the page. Was it a bad dream that I couldn’t find it there last time I looked? Great idea to write a post announcing how best to find you, btw. OF COURSE we want to read your “scribblings” 🙂 – after all, you read ours!

      1. I don’t think that’s what you’re really saying – at least not to me. I read it as an answer to those of us who prefer to comment on your WordPress blog who want an easy way to locate that content that you have authored among the curated information you feature.

NOW I have to find and edit the comment from a string on my bog where I directed readers to the bottom – lol. 🙂

      1. omg, I can’t believe it was that simple! I tried this widget once before but it didn’t work. Now that I’ve got my website functioning properly, you’d think I would have tried it again. Not! Appreciate the Luddite tweak, Kate 🙂
