A Touch of Snow

Eliza Waters

IMG_0997 Another four inches of light, fluffy snow fell overnight. It’s the best kind of snow, because it is easy on the shrubbery and a breeze to shovel without a lot of back strain. A few stray clouds contributed more snowflakes this morning.

IMG_1033When the sun came out, it highlighted the glittering, individual flakes. It is amazing to think that no two are alike. Everything in the landscape is dusted in white, creating a sparkling fairyland.IMG_1085IMG_1021The white-etched dark branches contrast against the startlingly blue sky – a delight to the eye and heart.

I breathe in deeply the crisp, clean air, grateful to live in such a gorgeous place. It’s good to be alive on a day like this!
