Happy Mothers Day to all the ladies here who are Mums to the human and furry kind.
You’re all a credit to the profession of Motherhood.
For those who’ve lost their Mum, buy a bunch of flowers she liked and brighten up your living room with them, or light a candle (safely)and think of a good memory of her and cherish it, she’ll know.
Even if you didn’t have a great relationship with your Mum, (sadly there are a few ‘peaches’ out there) you are here because of her, so celebrate yourself and the person you have become.
Have a great day

I got Julie a card and present from Ollie the dog, and a card from me too. Then some of her children took her to a local zoo with her grandson, and later cooked her a Sunday roast. Pretty good Mother’s day for her.
Best wishes, Pete.

Beautiful, Kate. I am so glad you included the moms of fur-kids! And I love the suggestion to buy flowers for my mother (irises would be perfect, but she really loved them all) and light a candle (she adored lavender, so there you go).
Happy Mother’s Day to you – 2nd Sunday in May here in the States (Aunt’s Day too, according to Tink!)
xx,

Thanks Madelyn. Irises are so beautiful, such a rich blue colour and I love Lavender as well! My favourite flowers are Freesias, so curly and sweet smelling. They are my Mums and was her Mums favourites too. But I also love any heavy scented roses, you can’t beat the smell of deep red roses on a summer day just after a light shower. The air is full of steamy sweetness :0)

I love Freesias too – and heirloom roses are a gift from the gods. The newer hybrid ones don’t have much fragrance – ‘sup with that?

I know! I don’t understand why you would want flowers without the fragrance. That’s part of the joy of them.
