Many days of the year have been set aside every month to promote awareness or advocacy of an issue, illness, disability, or special-needs related cause.

Included on every Awareness Month list at are awareness and advocacy reminders for health problems that intersect, exacerbate or create problems with cognition, mood, memory, follow-through and attention management.

    Everyone affected would add their thanks to mine, I’m sure, if they knew you had helped to spread the word. This month’s events seem primarily *physical* until you think about the mental health implications. Not many people are even aware of many of those set aside for February Awareness, I’m sure — ESPECIALLY that *all* children’s cancers are considered Rare Diseases – *most* forced to be treated with non FDA-approved drugs (after lengthy insurance approvals).

    I hope readers never experience any of February’s challenges up close and personal. HOWEVER, since early diagnosis and treatment change outcomes, so it’s good to tuck them into the back of minds. I hope this Series will increase in readership as I continue to do these Monthly Awareness posts – and reblogs really help. THANKS!
