  1. I have never read a single one of her books. Just didn’t like the sound of them. It has become something of a sacrilege not to adore Rowling, so I am well-aware that I am in a minority.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. It’s not everyone’s favourite thing, but I do love her writings and the films. I like the fact that they have light and dark, scary and funny rather than the saccharine stuff they ‘approve’ at school etc., (in US some numskulls have even burned her books, which to me is a sign she’s doing something right hahaha)
If anyone reads the first book or watched the first film and doesn’t like it, I don’t think they will like the rest.

Her books that aren’t about Harry Potter are most definitely books for adults.

The Casual Vacancy was very real and true to life. I actually made me cry. I was surprised to find out it was JK Rowling who had written it.
