Wrekin Writers have been holding a yearly short story competition for some years now. The Doris Gooderson Short Story Competition is open for entries up until 11th July. As the maximum word limit for stories is only 1200 words, there’s plenty of time for you to write something for them.
The theme is an open one. Entries are accepted from all over the world.
The prizes are as follows:
1st: £200
2nd: £100
3rd: £50
All the winning entries will be published in the yearly Wrekin Writers anthology.
Entry fee: £5 per story. All profits will go to the Severn Hospice.
